As predicted last week, Mexican mango exports have dropped dramatically.
Total exports from all regions just barely made it over the one million box mark with a total of 1,107,805 (4kg) cartons shipped from Mexico to the USA market.
Nayarit surprised with an additional shed shipping over last week for a diminished total of 206,839 cartons.
Southern Sinaloa kicked in 719,814 cartons with a total of 8 sheds shipping HWT fruit.
The Northern sinaloa (3F) Fruit Fly Free zone shipped 181,152 cartons of tree ripened "non HWT" fruit, which means that 20% of the fruit in the market will soon be NON HWT Fruit.
As weeks go by, we will see a very small window for the consumer to enjoy tree ripened FRESH & RAW mangoes.
The California harvest is still two weeks away.
Brazil will be pushing early Tommy Atkins in the next few weeks...
